Ambassador for Sustainable Education (ASE) Scholarship

Together for Sustainable Development (TSD) invites applications for the Ambassador for Sustainable Education (ASE) Scholarship for the 2026 academic year. This scholarship aims to support students currently studying in universities and colleges within Myanmar to enhance their educational leadership and sustainable development skills.

About the ASE Scholarship:

The ASE scholarship intends to empower youth leaders from Myanmar to create change through sustainable, inclusive, and equitable education. As an ASE Scholar, you will receive the following benefits:

  • Individual Mentorship
  • Opportunities to promote sustainable education within your school campus and community

Application Timeline:

  • Application receiving period: June 8 to June 30, 2026
  • Application screening and selection: July 1 to July 5, 2026
  • Interview dates: July 6 to July 8, 2026 (via Zoom)
  • Announcement of selected students: July 9, 2026
  • Scholarship agreement signing: July 10, 2026 (via Zoom)

Applicant Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a Myanmar citizen.
  • Must be attending a university or college in Myanmar during 2026.
  • Must be committed to a lifelong promotion of sustainable education.
  • Must be drug-free.
  • Must not practice gender-based or ethnicity-based discrimination.
  • Must have an interest in education and a willingness to learn.

Priority Considerations:

  • Students currently attending University Second Year - Second semester.
  • Students with good academic performance.
  • Students from families with no prior university graduates (first-generation university students).
  • Priority will be given to those from economically disadvantaged family backgrounds.
  • Students from female-headed households.
  • Orphans or individuals raised by a single parent.

Eligibility Criteria for ASE Membership

  1. Any gender who has commitment to promote sustainable education program for life long.
  2. Who has commitment to promote sustainable education for his/her family with gender justice.
  3. Who has commitment to promote sustainable education for his/her community with gender justice.
  4. Who respects parents and is active in Church and community activities.
  5. Any tribe from Myanmar who passed Class 12.
  6. Who is free from all kinds of drugs.
  7. Who has no gender or tribal discrimination.
  8. Who has a hard working spirit and is active to learn further.
  9. Who has commitment to contribute MMK 100,000/- for sustainable education fund while submitting ASE application.
  10. Who has commitment to contribute 7% of his/her earned scholarship for sustainable education fund during his/her study.
  11. Who has commitment to contribute one day salary for sustainable education fund for 3 years after completion of study and earned salary.

Rights and Responsibilities of ASE

  1. Right to apply for a Scholarship.
  2. Right to campaign for sustainable education.
  3. Right to exercise leadership among ASEs.
  4. Responsible for self-service and discipline.
  5. Responsible for promoting education in his/her own family, community and wherever needed.
  6. Responsible for contributing sustainable education fund and sharing his/her knowledge and skills with others.
  7. Responsible for active participation in Church and community activities.
